A public notary is a business that forms an integral part in the functioning of a society. It is also a business with a lot of history and prestige. Keeping this in mind, we decided to represent those qualities using classic typefaces such as Big Calson, in combination with more neutral and modern typefaces such as Baron Nue to give a modern spin on an established practice.
The inspiration for the identity of the business is the act of signing a document. There is a very known saying in the English language that says “sign on the dotted line”. Without using a pen as a symbol per se, we decided to focus on the designated space left in every document to sign.
